Novi Karlovci - Sase is a litle village located
in the heart of Srem, on cliffs of mount Fruska Gora. First villagers
came in XV century . Name Novi Karlovci is first time mentioned
in XIX century. Nickname sase, is linked
to two different stories.
First one is based on former panonian sea on this territories,
and we kwon that sea grass is called sasa. Second version, based
on city of german miners from german region Sas.
Novi Karlovci today are one modern village with 4000 residents.
Village have beautiful church, school, house of medics, hunters
home and shopping mole.
